Apple introduced the MacBook from 2006 – 2010, then was radically redesigned to what we see today in modern devices from Apple. The 2015 – 2017 MacBook is the current model available, Apple as of 2019 decided to discontinue the production of the MacBook, as the MacBook Air can fulfill the use-case the MacBook was made for.
