MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is Apple’s lightest notebook available.  The MacBook Air is a compromise of speed/functionality and size/weight.  It is smaller and lighter than all other variants of Apple laptops, but also has some limitations.  The MacBook Air does not have an internal optical (DVD/CD) drive.  The MacBook Air is also a fixed configuration computer.  You are unable to upgrade RAM or disk on these computers.  They are a good fit if you are looking for something ultralight, and portable, but for light work load.  If you are looking for a faster computer, the MacBook or MacBook Pro would be a better choice.
